Diners Paradise, in Naqara, the main shopping centre, (approx FJD$4.00 taxi ride) good selection of food, cooked fresh to order, very reasonably priced, open 7 days all day until 10 p.m. Recommended by us.

Shirivans Curry House, a five minute walk along the  beach or road, good Indian curries, very cheaply priced.

Waci Poki (locally known as "Cannibals Cafe") a ten minute walk along the road, local cuisine, very cheaply priced.

The above restaurants all do take out meals.

Garden Island Resort, their courtesy van will pick you up from Aroha Taveuni, a three minute drive, good menu, mid to expensive price range. They also do take out pizzas.

Soqulu Golf & Country Club, a ten minute taxi ride (approx $8.00 each way), they have great wood fired pizzas and light meals. Reasonably priced, Great views.

Tramontos Bar & Restaurant, a 20 minute taxi ride (approx $20.00 each way), European food, reasonably priced. Great views.

There are numerous resorts in the Matei area for dining, pre bookings recommended.
